NYC Baby!

We haven't done a whole lot today...Jeremy and I arrived here last night at about midnight and took a (typical) cab to Tony's apartment - can I just say that Cabbies around here are NUTS (as is the rumor!!!) Our cabbie split two other cabs that were like INCHES away - but hey, so SO thankful we didn't drive into town, that's for sure!!! :)

We watched the Bucks beat Miami this morning and then we headed out to pick up Tony's wine from the Fed Ex in Chelsea. We walked through Washington Square Park and all the people playing chess at the edge of the park and saw some people making fun of George B. Figures. Oh well :) We walked back and stopped at Caliente Cab - which is a restaurant with an EXCELLENT guac (very very very fresh!) and we had margaritas and mojitos (my fave!)...then we headed back and we're hanging out, testing the wine (it's a Chilean wine - interesting! I usually don't like red wines, but this one is kinda smoky - and not bad :) )...J and Tony might light up Cigars later (ewww!) in which case I'll be heading to DSW :) hehe...shoe shopping is a GREAT way to escape the smell of cigars :) Who can complain about that?! On the way back through Washington Square Park, people were advertising for a "big protest" in Washington, DC (against the war in Iraq "bring the troops home")...ok, I believe in the right to free speech...and I believe that protestors and demonstrators have rights, but I also believe that protests are useless and all they really do is annoy the people of DC and VA because you're screwing up the traffic. I'm serious. It's annoying, and I really don't think that protests change the mind of politicians. Really, it's just irritating to the rest of us, to be honest. But that's just my opinion :) and I'll still fight for the right of those people to be able to do their protests, even if I think they're silly and useless :) OK, enough political commentary...

Back to football... ;o) And probably some sightseeing later (Times Square!!!)
