...I-O... :(

OK, so I guess life goes on...the Buckeyes lost a heartbreaker to Texas last Saturday. Now, I call it a heartbreaker, not because the Buckeyes deserved to win - they really didn't, by the way they played. However, AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter deserved to win that game...especially AJ. I have never seen a player fly across the field like that before. I mean, wow...he was kamakazi and it was beautiful. He alone deserved to win that game. I was so impressed with him. In an interview prior to the game, he told people that he was afraid of his mom because she'd get all up in his face and be like "YOU BETTER GET OUT THERE AND KILL SOME PEOPLE!!!" and like tell him he'd better kick some a** or he was in TROUBLE...! I just think it's hilarious that a guy who can have 7 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, 1 interception, and 2 sacks in a game against the number 2 team in the country with a heisman candidate QB would fear his mother :) Evidently, his mom decided back in the day that she would rather watch AJ HIT people than watch her other son (a QB) GET hit. I hope one day I'm a tough momma like that ;o) Maybe a TINY bit more compassion, tho... ;o)

This week has been somewhat nuts...we've both been working long hours - and Jeremy has his firefighter's test on Saturday - fingers crossed and prayers lifted for that!!! :) Hopefully we'll get to relax and watch a Buckeye victory after his test on Saturday and then just chill for the remainder of the weekend :) It'll be wonderful!!! :)
